FAQ
Questions, answered
Is this a real product I can use today?
Yes. You can try the live demo right now with fake sample data, and we set up a separate workspace for each customer. It's a new product, so we're onboarding our first companies with hands-on help.
Can I import data from my current software?
Yes. Most systems export tenants, units, ledgers and vendors to CSV or Excel. We map the columns with you during onboarding.
Does it handle HUD and Section 8?
Yes: tenant and HAP ledgers, a household file checklist, recert tracker with letters, HAP voucher worksheets with approvals, EIV slots, waiting list, VAWA and more are in the live demo. It doesn't calculate TTP or submit to TRACS; that stays in your certified TRACS software. See HUD properties and voucher landlords.
Do texts and calls really go out?
They do once you connect your own phone provider account (for example Twilio) and finish carrier registration for business texting (A2P 10DLC). Until then messages wait in an outbox, clearly labelled.
How do tenants pay?
Through the payment processor you connect. Card numbers stay with the processor; Rentsi keeps only the last 4 digits and never stores CVVs.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Every screen works on a phone, and the tenant, owner, vendor and maintenance apps install to the home screen.
Who owns the data?
You do. You can export it at any time. See the draft Subscription Agreement.
What does it cost?
$1.50 per unit per month, billed in 25-unit blocks ($37.50 per block, rounded up), with a 200-unit minimum. Details.
